days of late.

Since I've been laid off by the State I've been living the life. Which consists of: Laying out and swimming on a daily basis, hanging out with the Morgans, and getting no sleep. Awesome huh? In between all of this the Morgan family along with Crystal & Jessica (Connor's girlfriend and her sister) we went to Six Flags, stayed the night in San Francisco and spent the day there. Since I lost my camera somewhere in Rexburg, I am just waiting for everyone to upload their pictures. Tiffani uploaded some today so I'll show what I have. It was fun, and a long two days.

Connor leaves for his mission in 3 weeks. Ridiculous. But so exciting.

Friday is my last day at work for the Secretary of State. Sad. But we'll have a change.

Watching So You Think You Can Dance, I fell in love with this girl Lauren. She's my favorite girl by far. She's in the top 11 so far so I'm hoping she takes it all. Can you seriously watch this and not like it?

exhausted.

So I've never really went into detail with what my job entails, but this was the craziest week. I work for the Secretary of State Election's division as a student assistant. As many people know, the primary election for California was on Tuesday...so monday and tuesday I worked from 6:15am - 8:00pm. I'll tell you, these were long days. So this past week I've kinda become a work a holic. Never really gone to see anyone, but I did make an outing yesterday with my best, Audrey. It was nice as always. We even snapped some photos.

I wish... that i lived closer to the ocean, I'd take opening my front door to the beach any day. I heart... men with style. Abi says I like "california" style. She is probably right. Give me a man with a cotton tee/flannel and some lace up vans. Yum. I ran... into the pool today and boy I'll tell ya it felt nice. I want... to go to Santa Cruz. any one? I cleaned... the pool today. Normally Audrey does it, but she's in Yosemite so I had to manage some how. I manage... to walk through forever 21 and urban outfitters without purchasing one item. That my folks is called accomplishment. I am... obsessed with summertime. seriously though.  I made... myself journal and read last night. I read a whole chapter, not just a verse. This sounds like it shouldn't really be a problem but I was exhausted last night. I'm proud.  I saw... a girl running outside today when I was driving. In the heat. You go girl.  I can't... say toy boat ten times fast. honestly. try it. ready go. I shall... be a tan lady this summer. maybe with a little help. eh.

lack of...

pictures that is. . I can't find my actual camera right now so I used my mom's camera this weekend. I took maybe a total of 10 or so pictures this week. I'm kinda sad about it but oh well..

refreshed.

Here I am in my future apartment (aka brookside) with my roommates and I desperately do not want to leave. In all honesty, this was an amazing break from everything at home and just life. I got to catch up with my friends and just relax. I think that was my favorite part. I got to hang out with Abi and her "newish" boyfriend, went on a drive one night that turned out to be 100 miles long with Abi & Renee, got to hang out with Megan & Jenae and see lots of other friends. I had a couple of days of good longboarding. And I even went to the gymnastics gym with abi to get a good workout in (which I am still sore from).

I didn't take a ton of pictures surprisingly but I will put up what I did take when I get home. I'm leaving in a few hours for the trek to california.

Just a thought. I love my life. I really do. I have the best friends a friend could ask for. I'm currently enjoying the small things in my life. I like a good song, I like good conversation, having the sun shining, late night drives, and not holding back. I feel like my life is pretty full right now. I'm content.

something everyone should know about me...is that my all time favorite place to dance is my kitchen. why? good question. but it is always there and has quite the dance floor for me. here's the song I replayed this morning about 7 times or so. now everyone, when you hear this... get up and shake it. shake it little mamas. your booty will love you.

I have a craving... 

I've decided when I can. I'm going to do a semester in HAWAII. 

Seriously. I am in desperate need.

Then I can learn how to surf... preferably by the locals.
and sky dive.....again. but I think hawaii would be better.

best of times.

Days like this remind me why I love my life. Audrey & I had another tanning session today, it was so nice we even got in the pool. We are pretty white lately, but I must say I am sure proud of our improvement. 

She's a tad bit cheesy at times, funny constantly, my favorite pool girl, my absolute favorite date, and 100% my best friend. 

 At times, we like to gaze into each others eyes like so. Don't mistake this for a romance. Some may think so. 

I'd say it was a perfect kinda day. love you aud.

inspired.

Lately I've been confused about what I want to do, with either a major or a career. Within the past week or two I have found something that I am extremely passionate about, helping people. I always have loved the idea of service and I strongly believe that it is one of the most rewarding way to spend your life. In the last few weeks I've felt so fortunate for what I have, and I realized that I need to help others that need more in their life. I recently discovered a charity that I am so supportive of. It is called charity:water. When I came across their website I was hooked. I watched video after video and fell in love with their way of life. I realized my only option was to get involved. So I am. I started a campaign called breakthrough. You see, my 19th birthday is coming up and I would like nothing more than to see people get involved for a cause such as this one.

audrey's day of birth.

Today is the day of my beloved friend Audrey's 20th birthday. She has officially left the teens and not looking back. For her birthday tonight we are having a mexican themed fiesta, pinata and all (don't worry pictures will be up soon.) But since it's her birthday I decided to make a post all about AUDREY. So here are some reasons why I love her.

1. First off she's been there for me through so many things. I honestly can barely remember a time when I did not know Audrey.

2. She's a complete family person. Family comes first always, and she loves her family to death.

 3. She's the best cook. But really, I am seriously never hungry at her house. Even though this is a picture of her with our favorite food: sushi. \

 4. She's funny. We are always laughing and she knows how to brighten my day!

 5. Mainly, she's my best friend and my favorite person. I love her with all of my heart. She's a real gem. I can talk to her about ANYTHING and she is always there. I love you Audrey and hope today is amazing!

I wish... it was saturday, really bad. Because saturday is Audrey's 20th and we're celebrating by having a legit fiesta. Seriously, pinata and all. I love... the fact that it's going to be in the 70s today. When I was in Rexburg I would literally dream of warm weather. I don't know how people actually grow up without warm weather. All I'm saying is that I love my California weather. I want... to own a beachcruiser. I think they are so cute and they're real classy.  I cleaned... my room the other day, and boy it was nice. Is it already getting nasty again? Yes, don't be shocked.  I forgot... how much I love the little things. Relaxation is a big one lately. Oh, and smiles, they make my life.  I am... going to be the happiest person this summer. I'm falling in love with my life.  I made... bourbon chicken (without real bourbon) for my family the first weekend I came home because I wanted to show them my homemaker skills. And you know what? They loved it!!! I even impressed my twin brothers, impressive.  I am... currently trying to figure out how to get involved with "Charity: Water". I think it's an awesome charity, there are videos on my page, take a gander.  I took... my friend Ethan out to sushi for his birthday the other day. It was good to catch up with him, even if we were the only ones that showed up to dinner.  I need... to pick up on my running schedule, it's key.  I really... want to start going to the lake, just waiting for the lake to be higher and then it's on. oh another thing i really want is a little visit to my friends in Rexburg. It will happen soon enough.  I hope... everyone is doing well! It's almost May, so Happy May everyone.

Today I finally got a new swimsuit at target. You can sure find some treasures there, especially in the swimsuit area. So I decided what better way to use it then by laying out with Audrey. Every summer Aud and I lay out claiming that, "This summer will be our darkest summer." But I have extremely high hopes for this summer.
